dang, I missed animation so much x"D this was heavenly "XD lol <3333
Haha, I love this! I had just submitted something, and there beside it on the "More from deviantART" section was this little guy, my daughter is on my lap, and she started laughing hysterically, almost falling backwards, and she started screaming "MONKEY! MONKEY! HAPPY MONKEY!" XDDD
She is only 17 months old, so don't feel bad that she thought it was a monkey, she loves it though. I'm bookmarking it so I can use it to cheer her up when she's grumpy
one quick tip, i've watched your other animations and the movement is all good, but sometimes the timing feels too even. this is something i learned in animation class—not to follow a consistent tempo. right now your animation is following a consistent rhythm like. 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, 4.
uh • squint • no • stare • uh • squint • no • stare
i think it would be good if you added a little more time to the 'uh'. like a little breather where he's like 'uhhhhhhh' and then squint • no
think of it like the beat of a song vs. a melody.
the beat of a song is always consistent and even, but the melody speeds up and slows down and halts within the beat of the song.
anyway whatever. i really like your animations and i think they have a lot of natural appeal which is like the hardest thing in the world to do, so in some ways you already have it made.
